Jayne Perrett, the owner, has a background in retail merchandising and management, working for large and small independent organisations for over thirty years. Jayne prides herself on offering a friendly service, special orders and personalised gift packs can be made to order, nothing is too much trouble. A wide selection of gifts and affordability are very important factors in choosing what Tolsey Two stocks, one thing our gifts have to have in common is that every one must have the Wow- Factor ! The shop is made up of an array of individual colourful displays, which guides you around the shop and helps you to select that special gift.
Beware though ... Many customers cannot resist buying a little treat for themselves too!
The team at Tolsey Two are primed to offer advise if required but equally we like to leave our customers space to browse and to be inspired by the colourful displays.
We try to source unique products that appeal on their design, value and quality. We have quite a few British manufacturers on board, with some smaller independent companies that help make the choice in the shop interesting and diverse. We try to cater for all ages & styles, by buying local and made in the UK we are all helping to grow our British economy.
We deal with lots of small companies for our cards, giving a very quirky and unusual collection of Art cards. You wont find a better collection, including local artist cards and occasion cards.
The Tolsey Two Shop came about nearly ten years ago now, my first shop was called The Tolsey Shop in Wotton-Under-Edge, it closed some years earlier and l decided Dursley was right for a reinvention of that original shop.
‘Tolsey’ comes from history, years ago in market towns, like Wotton Under Edge and Dursley, a toll had to be paid to a town major, the building where he lived became known as the Tolls house, and over time it became Tolsey, in Wotton the Tolsey building has a decorative clock which is known as the Tolsey Clock.
